It would be interesting to know if they’ve ever had to recruit less than the required standard if insufficient people hit the “pass” mark.

From my experience at the A/C and last year it’s seems a very high calibre of people that attend. I definitely felt like the weakest link!!

The guy that ran our group implied that there's 200 jobs but if enough people don't reach the pass mark they simply would recruit less

I felt a bit like that as well, doesn't bode well lol. Especially considering limited spaces in Belfast and the fact there were 7 of us there on just one Session in Coventry, must be a lot more over the month.

There was quite a few in my session too. Would say about 8 there.

When you say one session, do you mean your group of 12 or over the 3 groups (blue, red, yellow)? Either way seems quite a lot in for Belfast.

During my AC last Tuesday / Wednesday there seemed quite a few in for my location, so I think all sites will have a lot of competition.

8 over 3 groups I am estimating - though 4 in my group of 12

I imagine all sites will be competitive. It could have just been coincidence there were a lot of Belfast applicants on that AC.

My 1st and 2nd choices are Liverpool and Manchester. Oddly I didn’t meet anyone at my AC that selected those locations but I imagine they will be very popular.

Lol that’s because they were all in my AC!

Literally everyone was Manchester/Liverpool...I do wonder how they did the split this year, because I got invited to Warwick.

Or maybe it’s a case of anyone who gets through just gets put into whatever AC and they don’t factor in where you’re travelling from.

I wonder if it’s completely random? I was Warwick too and seemed to be a lot of people for Scotland, Wales and Belfast. But none for North West.

Oddly I was at Warwick last year too and it seemed to be a similar demographic then.

How do you feel after this one compared to last year?

About the same. It was a mixed bag. I felt some sort exercises went a lot better this year and some a lot worse. So the overall feeling isn’t positive!!

If I’m unsuccessful again I will draw a line under it. It’s quite draining being rejected!

It was my first year applying to this so I’m really not sure how I’ve done at all. I just feel I could have done better.

I think everyone feels like that. Its easy to focus on the things you think you’ve done wrong. But I am sure there will be lots of positives you’ve forgotten about! It’s a really challenging assessment centre.

I got offered an O role last year so even if you aren’t successful there is always the potential of a job offer

Anyone heard if the cancelled AC and people who couldn't attend AC last week due to weather have been rescheduled for this week or has HMRC extended the date from the 9th March (which is original last date)?

I thought people normally got offered HO after the AC. I’m a HO in compliance at the moment, so I really have nowhere except the TSP to go to lol.

Its my first year applying as well. There were definitely things I left out that I am kicking myself about now. I did fast stream earlier for 2018 entry so I was less nervous than I would have been so that helped a bit. I definitely preferred the TSP AC so may give it another go at TSP next year if unsuccessful this year.

Did they actually cancel an AC?

I thought that was the case beforehand too. But I think a lot of the roles were O that were offered.

I could be wrong though. Might be details on the 2017 thread. I wasn’t a student room member then.

Its earlier in thread but someone said the Thursday/Friday session at Lincoln was cancelled and would be rescheduled.
