I got 71% for the numerical and 74% for the verbal, so not that high! My scores this year for TSP from another banked test are much higher, thankfully!

Oh that’s cool, I got 71% for verbal. Hoping if I get through next to do better at numerical one.

That’s great you got higher scores banked 😀

The job description says you may be required to take the tests again at the AC? Does anyone know if this is the case?

Yes, it happened to a friend of mine. They reserve the right to re-test to make sure that results are your own and you haven't had any help

Interrested in applying to this programme. I was wondering what does the application form entail? Do we need to include a CV/Cover letter? I'm currently busy with uni so I won't be able to get round to it till the weekend.

What scores have people been achieving in the verbal reasoning test?

I got better than 99% and it took me 17 minutes roughly (so i doubt the time aspect has anything to do with scoring, unless you go over a certain amount)

Hi there,I've applied for this programme even though I don't have a degree, with the hope of maybe being suitable for another role. I've read that some people, although not accepteped on the programme were actually offered another position based on test results, experience etc.I've got various qualifications within accounts and I'm also working towards a tax qualification, although they don't quite equate to a degree. Anybody had experience of been offered a job through this process? ThanksStacey

Your application will be rejected if you don't have a degree or are not expecting to get one before the course starts. It's in the eligibility conditions. You have to be eligible for the role you're applying for, not the one you may or may not be offered off the back of it. Last year around 17000 applications were rejected as ineligible for various reasons.

when do we get a response to the verbal reasoning? i did mine two days ago, does everyone get them on the same day on the 20th or are they released individually at different times?

Thank you for completing the Verbal Reasoning Test.

You scored better than 55% of people who have previously taken this test. This means that you have met the minimum required standard for this grade and are still being considered for this vacancy.

only 55%. i knew i put too many cannot says in there. do some people get automatic acceptance? and people with lower scores put on hold?

It changes every year depending on how well/bad others did. But i think normally the first stage they allow lower scores

Hi Stacey

If you're not already a civil servant then you need a minimum of a 2:2 to apply. If you're an existing civil servant then you don't need a degree.

If you don't already have a degree but are happy with a band O or band HO then you may aswell apply for a band O/HO (even AO if you want) and then if you're successful you can apply for the TSP and/or the civil service fast stream next year without a degree.

It closes midnight on the 20th so from 21st onwards. 2nd stage closes 4th December if you meet requirements from verbal test.

Not timed, so you have all the time to concentrate on one question. I felt it was very similar to other tests I've done in the past for applications - so there were no nasty surprises. I'd suggest practicing tests online if you're unsure on how to approach them.
But if you're familiar with the structure of these tests, I'd suggest just going for it.

Good luck! (And make it quick, deadline is soooooon)

Did my test yesterday and got 60% 😬 Only time will tell if that's enough!

Hi everyone,
This is my 2nd year applying. I didnt make a high enough score on the apollo test last year to get an AC. I did not enjoy the apollo test, i scored 98% in one area and very low everywhere else, whoops! 93% on verbal test this year, i got through with 61% verbal and 92% numerical last year.. think i may have scaped through with the verbal!

First year applying. Just scored 97% on the verbal reasoning so very pleased with that. Says I have met the required grade.

Thought it was going well as each question was getting more difficult as went through. Quite a few tricky cannot say towards to end where it would have been easy to pick true.

Second Year applying for me. Got through to Stage 2 last year and then messed up on the Situational Judgement Test, so just missed out on getting to the AC. 90% in the verbal test this time, so a good start!
