I have started A-Level this year and am wondering whether Product Design is going to benefit me when it comes to trying to get into a top uni (specifically Imperial). I wish to pursue a career in Mechanical engineering and so am wondering whether A-Level Product design would actually be helpful in any way. My other A levels are Maths and Physics. Any replies and/or advice is greatly appreciated.

My friend got an offer from Imperial last year for civil engineering. At AS he got AAAB in Maths, physics, chemistry and product design. However, he did not take product design to A2. In truth I think chemistry or further maths would be more beneficial, and only product design as an AS or 4th A Level. As, I know 2 mechanical engineers who both took Maths, FM and physics.
