I am currently studying a UAL Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Art and design (graphics). I have began to look at universities requirements for graphic communication and digital design courses, however I am not coming across my course in the entry requirements. Could anyone help me as to weather my course is recognised by any unis apart from UAL?

Depends, but I'm pretty sure it's accepted by most UNis

Any university that accepts a BTEC extended diploma for art and design will accept the UAL equivalent. It just isn't listed normally because it's a lot less common.

If you contact universities directly then they'll be able to reassure you about it before you apply.

Yes it is highly recognised by universities. UAL is a highly recognised uni and awarding body, so other uni's will take into account whatever grade you receive from it.

As PQ stated, it is usually the same requirement as a BTEC Extended Level 3 Diploma. The major difference with BTEC and UAL is

a) The awarding body (Who marks it and signs the certificates)
b) How it is graded throughout the year

Except for that, they are very similar in qualifications. Ring any unis you have doubts with, however most, if not all, will state that they're the same requirements as their BTEC counterpart.

Just to show the blurred lines between the two counterparts, you can only do extended level 3 after first completing level 3 (As you'd probably know)

I completed UAL Level 3 Diploma
Then did BTEC extended level 3 Diploma
So I can't imagine there would be any issue
