I am quite good at being social in a learning environment as generally those I am learning with share certain interests with me, it is just in the wider world.

Hey, when I was 13 or 14, I loved the teletubbies, I even got a teletubby tent for christmas. It is all about obsessions, as most autistic people have them.

interesting, why does he do that, or is it an unexplainable behavior.

nope have no idea. he used to tear around each picture...then each word, so there was nothing left in the end!!!

well hes stopped it now, so his books are finally looking like books. and alas hes reading them!!!!
which is amazing because he cant talk (as in express what he feels by speech, or ask anything, or as far as we know understand)yet he can read!!!

Well, he may have picked up everything people have been saying to him but has just not been able to process it to actually talk.

yh thats what we think...because he has the most amazing memory... like he knows the directions to everywhere he has ever been, in the car, in massive shopping centres, knows where everything is kept in the shops, knows where the car is kept in a parking lot...even when we forget.
its amazing...but just the one thing bout his speech!

just as a general tip for all new people, it is not advised to make one word posts or to make posts with smileys in them and nothing else as it annoys many people and some think of it as spam.
