No car unfortunately :frown:

I applied to Grey. Not sure what it was about it, just really liked the atmosphere and had a great tour guide. Also liked that it is one of the larger colleges, but not massive like St Hild

:frown: that's a shame.

Ah nice! I stayed in Grey at Easter and it was alright, but not for me  I've gone for Mildert, was tempted by Butler but I just feel like you don't get the same community feel in there with it all being in flats :dontknow: Have still yet to apply though!

Nah it was only AQA. I heard that the MEI one was very difficult though

Shouldn't this be the mathematics 2017 applicants thread...?

Applying for entry in 2018 (it's titled the same way as the Medicine Applicants thread, Cambridge Applicants thread etc.)

It was tough! Spent too long on the induction question and didn't have time to finish. :colondollar:

Why would it be? For entry in 2018.

Ah yes, I saw that it linked to the STEP Prep Thread 2017 instead of 2018, which is why I was confused.

Yeah with AQA we don't need to learn proof by induction  (though I did anyway...)

WHAT? I did Edexcel and proof by induction was the bane of my life... luckily I nailed it the day before my exam though! They put some C2 geometric series stuff in our exam, and it just literally didn't cross my mind as I didn't think I'd see C2 in FP1 so I didn't spot it (stupid mistake really) so all of the 5 marks I lost were on that bloody question
