Think you need a variety of primary and secondary. There's no set amount on what's needed. I'm aiming for an A, and currently have 29 sources (might cut a survey out because I don't think it's all needed) so minimum is 28 and I have a 2:3 split of secondary to primary. I know someone else on this forum had 36 sources and got an A* in theirs.

Had about 30 which I kept, 20 which I ignored or removed in the end.

But do you have to write about all those sources in your litrature review?

I got an A which should have been an A* but they gave me the wrong grade and I stupidly didn't send it off, and I had about 20 sources.

I did, as I only had 20, but if you have more you can eliminate some.

I've seen EPQs get A* grades in the range of 20-40+ sources. Your sources should be reliable - peer-reviewed journals, reputable articles, published books etc. But the EPQ should be analytical and evaluative - don't just mention a source but engage with it. eg mine was on music therapy so when I mentioned a music therapy trial I would assess it briefly based on sample size and research methods.

Hi, you mentioned you used a 2:3 primary to secondary ratio, so you have ~11 primary sources. What primary data have you used? The only type of primary data I can think of would be a survey. Would each question within the survey count as its own separate piece of primary data? Thanks
