How hard is Economics

Okay so I'm starting my first year of economics this week and I am doing a bsc. I chose the mathematical approach as I love maths. The first year is general for all economics students. But I understand that in the second year the course divides into the BA and a Bsc and I understand that there will be calculus involved. I did AS level maths which was the beginning of calculus, but I had to leave at the end of the academic year because of my health. How much maths and calculus to be exact will there be involved?
Hi there. You were accepted on the course so meet the requirements. You should have some confidence you will be ok. It is likely the BA option will be for students with only GCSE maths. If you like maths the calculus will almost certainly be ok. Ask the uni which textbook they use for calculus and check it out now or in the hols. Worst case scenario, the uni may let you swap to BA if you struggle with the maths, but you'll almost certainly be fine.
Depends on what uni you're at
