I originally did, but then I thought “? lol” looked stranger than without, so I prioritised aesthetics over grammar; but “you’re” looks more pleasant than “your” on all accounts.

It’s a good thing my TSR posts don’t count towards my GCSE English marks.

In terms of aesthetics, I would’ve been far more pleasing to the eye to say:

“Is that a good thing or bad thing?”

Nothing else.

The addition of “lol” indicates that I am taking the comment in good spirit, that I find it humorous etc.

It is commonly used in online spaces such as forums, thus was appropriate. I concede, however, that were this conversation taking place in the 1950s then it would have been a nonsensical addition to my original sentence.
