Hi, I called finance a few days ago as to when my application will be processed. The lady said on the 27th which is cool, I can wait.

But then she said she was referring my application to another team to look at getting me an interim payment in 3-5 working days. She didn't really say what this was.

I'm guessing its a small payment of money to fill the gap between now and getting my loan since I've already started my course. If it is this, how much is it usually? Are we talking like £100? Is it different for everyone?

    Hi amingo26

If you have applied for a maintenance loan or dependent grant after the start of your academic year has started you will receive a interim payment for the first portion of your loan or grant the amount you will be due you will need to speak to one of our advisers who will be able to access your account to confirm the amount.

    Thanks Miriam
