The most important thing for you will be to make sure you are 100% confident with the new spec GCSE if you did the old spec. Try as many specimen/past papers and hard textbook questions as you can and make sure you know all the content. As a tutor you will not only be teaching them maths but also preparing them for the exam (I'm assuming).
