Chemistry dilution help

Say,

I have a 10 mM SDS solution dissolved in 10 mL (stock solution). I need to make a 0.6 mM solution of the stock solution in 10 mL.

How would I approach this ?

Can this question also be understood as how much from 10 mM stock solution in need to make 0.6 mM 10 mL solution ?

Based on this, I made a calculation (C1 * V1 = C2 * V2)

I found out that I need to take out 0.6 mL of the stock solution and add 9.4 mL of whatever I am using (MilliQ or buffer) to make a 0.6 mM SDS solution.

Is this correct or am I misunderstanding things here ?
