For Machinal the most important aspect is the young woman, constantly look at how she feels, what is happening to her, how she is trapped in her machine-like society. also link this into the OPC (original performance conditions) of expressionism and the Ruth Snyder case, this gives you a lot of ideas for justifications during the written exam. As for Woyzeck, I'm afraid i'm not studying that one
Anymore questions, feel free to ask.
Hope that helps!
