A hyperbolic space has negative curvature. So Yes and Yes.

No problem. Out of interest, why were you doubting yourself? Did you read something that contradicted something else?

I read in one place that three likely types of geometry of the universe on a large scale are positive, zero or negative curvature. then I read somewhere else that three types were hyperbolic, elliptic and "flat".

I figured elliptic was like drawn on a sphere which was positive curvature, but wanted to make sure I learnt it the right way round.
