Currently in Year 12. Wanting to do medicine.

I know the close date for UCAS is 15th October 2018, and most uni open days are after that as all other undergraduate courses close way later.

Wondering what medical students do in regards to uni open days? do they go a year before (so now). we have not be told anything. Saw that medical school i think have open days throughout the year because of this. Any info would be great, thanks/

Go to the open days in spring/summer 2018, decide, then apply in fall 2018. When you go they'll probably be tempting you with sampling clinical skills and **** like that. Don't bother with that stuff. What you really want to ask the students about course structure, how they're coping with the workload, what they like/don't like about the course and campus, and if the social life is any good. Good luck.

thought they only have open days in September/October time (now), as all the year above are going now.

It wouldn't do you any harm to go to these open days, just make sure all the information you get still applies to the year you'll be attending in case the curriculums change
