St.John's Ambulance

I want to do medicine in the future. I was wondering if I should do St.John's Ambulance or if it was a waste of time. Do universities prefer students who do it?
Also are there any good medical books that I could read?

I do it every week and it's quite chill, it's pretty much like a social club but you get to learn some first aid

you need to do some sort of volunteering/work experience to get into medicine and St John's ambulance certainly fits the bill. However, for any experience, it depends on you for how useful it is. It depends how you reflect on it, but unis will like it.
TSR very good medical reading list somewhere, just search for it and I'm sure you can find it.
Idk about the universities part but I did it for enrichment and it took about 6 2hour periods and tbh it was quite fun. I did it with my friends and now we're qualified for 3 years
