Hi everyone, Just wanted to point out that if you meet the minimum requirements for Plymouth and achieved over a 600 average (2400 total) in the UKCAT, you will have been or will be invited to interview. If you look at Plymouth's entry requirements for medicine now, they have updated the cut off score for 2018 entry. I've been invited to interview at Plymouth and I only got a 613 average

Yep it's a panel interview. There is a good amount of detail on what will be in the interview when you open the link on the email they sent you but to put it briefly:

They will give you 3 ethical scenarios and you have 30 mins to prepare and then you have to talk to them and justify for your points for 20 minutes

When have you booked yours for? Mine's the earliest and I'm scared I'll get marked down because they won't have anyone to compare me to!
I’ve booked mine on the 4th Dec. I’m pretty sure they don’t compare your score yet, they score everyone individually and rank everyone after all the of the interviews to send offers.

I remember reading somewhere that the interviewers will NOT have read our personal statements when they interview us.

    Can anyone confirm this?

The panel that interviews you has not read your personal statement.

Half the interview is based around the ethical scenario, so its important you learn the key ethical principles such consent, confidentiality, autonomy etc. For the other half of the interview make sure you prepare for generic medical interview questions like why medicine, dealing with stress etc.
Just wondering how you know this? Have you previously been interviewed by Plymouth?
