Hi there, I am considering doing a Secondary English PGCE then using the 60 masters credits I get when doing the PGCE to do MA English.

Would I be able to get the £10,250 loan to do the PGCE then another loan to do a Masters?

If not would I be able to get the loan to do a Masters then another loan to do a PGCE?

I'm a little confused as I know the PGCE is postgraduate but I'm not sure if it's treated differently- could you please help?

    Thanks!

A PGCE doesn't affect your eligibility for a PGL for a masters. And vice versa - holding a masters wouldn't affect your eligibility for PGCE funding.

What does affect eligibility is if you use PGCE credits towards a masters. The PGL is only available if you take a full 180 credit masters degree.
