how likely is mixed gender accommodation?

hi, i want to apply for staffordshire university but would prefer to be in mixed gender accommodation. however i heard that a lot of the time at this university they put most people in same gender accommodation. how true is this? thanks

As far as I'm aware, different halls have different layouts and different groups of people living there. If it hasn't changed since I lived on halls, then the en suite halls in Clarice Cliff, and the Student Houses on campus, tend to be mixed. Standard halls on the other hand tend to be same sex, which I think is because of the use of an open shower/toilet block in each flat.
I would check out the universities website for more info, or to get contact info to message the accommodation team directly, who should be able to give you more detailed info! Hope this helped 😄
