Please remember the actual medical school that you get your medical degree from does not matter as much at present (compared to the past). From experience of interviewing doctors for jobs, the university that you got your degree from should not matter, as they are all to the same educational standards set by the GMC. Choose your medical school choices strategically, looking carefully at entry requirements. There is not point applying to a medical school that you don’t fit the application criterion for! Look for whether you would fit in to the style of teaching they offer, for example a PBL course may be less suited to individuals who prefer to work alone.
