Help me please! I'm looking for work placement

Hi guys! I'm new to student room!
I am 17 and I'd like to be a dentist. I'm studying health and social care level 1 at the moment and I'm looking for a work placement. I went to dental GPs but they didn't do work placement. Can you please help me? Where can I get dental work experience? 😭

Hey! Firstly, welcome to TSR! :party2:
Medical placements are often very hard to come by so don't be surprised that it's difficult to find one! Even if it's not specific dental experience then it could still help, so if you can get some other medical placement (perhaps through family or family friends) then that might be a good start. Other than that it's quite difficult to know what to suggest. Did you ask the dentists if they do shadowing? Have you asked all the sensible dentists in the area?
You might get some more specific advise if you post in the dentistry university courses area. This area of the site is great but the subject specialists often hang around in the subject specific areas so you might get some better advise from there:smile:

Work experience is a part of my level 1 course. I'm going study uni after finishing my A levels.
