Don't suppose you have any pictures of the Physics buildings, do you? Am applying for Astro there, but it's too far away to visit </3
Done. (eventually:innocent:)
It's very long so couldn't get all of it in one picture.

Please don't be sideways.

Looks nice and professional, thank you so much!! Have already put in an application (though for NatSci instead bc my lecturer would only do it for Bio courses :| )
Thank you for going out of your way for this
This is such a nice thread guys! I love looking at your pictures, keep it up

That is one stingy lecturer. Life sciences has scaffolding round it right now, but it's getting a posh new outside done to it:colondollar:

Which makes noises when it's windy:redface:

My head is fine - his head barely touched mine, so I could hardly call it a headbutt.

That's fair enough. I could see it happening before it did.:teehee:

:erm: Keele was I think my third uni to get back to me. I can't remember when exactly. Cambridge was the last one and Durham was Second to last, Newcastle gave me an offer the next day and Cambridge offered me an interview in late November. So my estimate is between now and December. It will depend on department though.

For me, they answered within about 3 weeks of my application going in, but it may vary from department to department.
Library at 11pm on Friday:

Full Moon above campus...

IMG_2329.jpg Snow over Keele Hall. The snow has persisted on campus, even as semester one ended and the holidays began! Fingers crossed there isn't more snow before my train back home at the end of the week...
IMG_2303.jpg The plants around Keele Hall were covered in snow but looked so lovely!
I tried to take a nice picture of the snowy trees outside my room but it ended up looking a bit spooky instead  (also I don't know why it's sideways)

Could you guys get some pics of the library if you have the chance?

By the way, how quiet is the library? One of the things I hated about my sixth form is that everyone used it to socialise and it was never actually a good place to study with all the noise.

Sure will do:yy:

Library has different areas, there are some silent spaces, there are some where you can talk. It gets busy during exam weeks especially, or when lots of deadlines across the uni are happening. During the day it can get quite full, but there are spaces in less popular areas, you just have to do a bit of travelling to select your books. It's empty at 2am if you wanna study then.
I actually forgot this thread existed but given I'm coming here probably, #treasuringit

Does Keele do tour guides or something? Am heading to the area pretty soon to see the place. I'd ask one of you lovely people, but it's exam season.

I wasn't tagged but thought I'd chime in anyway

The library is spread over 3 floors; the top floor and ground floor are for silent study, and the middle floor is where group study and the IT suite are. The computer suite is unfortunately quite noisy as about a third of the room also contains tables for group study, but you can take laptops etc to the silent study areas if you want to, the desks have sockets and charger ports built into them.

The best time to go to the library is generally in the morning, before 9am, at least I've found that it's usually fairly empty around that time. All study areas in the library get busy during the semester, especially around exam time, so getting in there early in the morning/late at night is your best bet for having some peace and quiet
