Bad idea to apply to them?

Hi,

I want to apply to medicine this year and I wasn't sure about cardiff and east anglia that ask for AAA. My main worry is my gcses-i got 4A*s4As2Bs (B in english lang), a french A level and a spanish AS level (cardiff said achieved a levels adds to their scoring system?). My ukcat isnt great which is why I chose them (610). I'm choosing unis that don't look at the band.

Are they safe to apply to or would I get straight rejection? East anglia said they want at least 5 As including english language so would I get a rejection because of my B in english language?

For UEA yes as they would screen academic entry req for both gcses and alevels, so that would lead to straight rejection
For cardiff they say competitive is 5A*s and essentially you need 7A*s or above to get an interview

However saying this, did you go to a lower performing gcse school during your gcses in which case pm me as it will be a whole different process for you
And also what band did you get in UKCAT?
