To what extent do Oxford care about extracurriculars?

Apart from grades, what things would make an offer more competitive for Oxford?

Read the prospectus/website or watch

And in answer to your question in the title - not at all.

I dont think anyone gives a **** about extracurricular at school, Honestly, I am still yet to come across someone who cares that I was a school councillar, head boy and prefect.

But things like learning a musical instrument or language or being good at a sport in your own time good be good. Shows you are good at time management, and can learn **** under your own initiative.

Unless it's absolutely relevant to your subject (e.g. talking about playing in an orchestra when you're applying for Music), not at all.

They don't matter at all. Including playing musical instruments (except for a music degree), learning languages (except for a language degree) and doing sport.

- Admissions test result(s)
- Demonstrating genuine passion for your subject(s)
- Showing academic potential beyond what you have already achieved (probably at interview)
