i am just confused with this phrase ...WITHIN A SPECIE THERE ARE ONE OR MORE POPULATION

the population is defined as a group of the organism of same species that can interbreed and live in the same place and at the same time.


can someone explain this phrase

Simply: organisms of the same species that live in the same location are a population. Groups of organisms from that same species can live elsewhere in the world, so there can be multiple populations.

For example - you could have a population of a worm species in your back garden and there could also be a population of the same species of worm in the local park. These are different populations because they live in different locations.

It's the same when you think of the population of people. You can have many different populations depending on where people live.
