Please help! I have a (self-funded) undergrad Bsc from an English university - I graduated in 2007. I want to re-train as a vet (the degree I should have done in the first place but didn't!) am I eligible to apply for funding in England for a Veterinary medicine degree?

    Hi malhamcat,
You would still have to meet that standard residency and eligibility requirements set by Student Finance, but new full-time students who already hold an equivalent or higher level qualification may be eligible for Maintenance Loan support if their new course leads to a qualification as a :

    - Medical Doctor
    - Dentist
    - Veterinary Surgeon
    - Architect
    - Social Worker

    Thanks

Does this mean that I wouldn't be eligible for a loan to cover the tuition fees?
