Sorry, any such statement is purely opinion. And whether he's nice or not, it IS fact that he is such a boring lecturer that he almost put me off applying for History at Cambridge.



He was very nice in my general interview.

Well an opinion that many, including myself, share. He actually inspired me to give Selwyn a second look.

i know what you mean, but i actually quite like it and find it really interesting that the architecture of cambridge spans both the 'actual gothic' and 'neo-gothic' styles :smile:

Hey guys, I'm at Selwyn too and I can only say good things about it. If anyone is worried about the stuffiness or toffiness of cambridge then i can tell you that selwyn is the college to come to to ensure that none of your fears are true. Our bar is excellent (and I have heard many second years of other colleges saying that it is one of the best college bars there is). Though we arent renowned academically, we are definitely one of the friendliest colleges (I have met every single fresher and there isnt one person I dislike or who dislikes me as far as I know - its one big gang of friends). I would recommend this college to anyone who wants to be in a friendly community in an attractive, quiet setting without being bothered by tourists. If however you are the type to sit darkly in your room working all day every day, go for a city centre college to leave space for more lovely cool people to apply here!
