    Hi,
My nipples have been very sore for approximately a week now. After looking this up online, it seems that this is a symptom for breast cancer?????
I am planning to book an appointment with my GP but I'm so nervous...does anyone know if this can be a symptom of anything ELSE because it doesn't seem like that from my online research.
    Thanks...

Sometimes it can because of menstrual cycle (near period) or pregnancy. It can also be to down to ill fitting underwear and clothes. If you do have worries, it is best to see you GP to put your mind at rest.

It's best to see a gp. But sore nipples can easily also be from hormonal changes like being close to your period. Some clothes too, if your bra is too tight or is made of rough material

When you're ovulating or near to a period, the your nipples will be sore for a few days. It shouldn't be that serious. However if the pain persists, I recommend visiting your doctor.
