Ancient History or History Course at University

I really want to do Ancient History and History at university and I know that some universities offer joint courses. Due to circumstances beyond my control at GCSE i ended up getting a D in History instead of an A (which i was predicted). I am not sure whether i should apply for history as I am worried i will get no offers if they look at my GCSE grades.

I am currently doing Classical Civilisation at a level and i am predicted AAA
