Is it worth doing an EPQ when I do four A Levels and an extra GCSE (applying for 2018 entry)? I am applying to all Russel Group universities but how does UCL and Oxford in particular view it? Is it a deciding factor?

Here's a link to a page I found from Oxford on EPQ: https://uni-of-oxford.custhelp.com/a...etail/a_id/446

It seems like EPQ isn't that important, however if you have one then it doesn't hurt and can sometimes be a an advantage. In my opinion, if you have the time, drive and interest to do an EPQ then I'd say it's always worth doing one. It's just extra work you can put on applications and stuff like that. I did mine last year and just got my result back. I got an A with the question 'To what extent does evolutionary evidence suggest that Spinosaurus was a semiaquatic Dinosaur?'. If you are going to do an EPQ then I'd aim to relate it to the course you're going to take.
    Hope this was helpful.
