    Hello,

I have just started the second year but I am losing interest in the course.

I am aware of the issues of student finance and dropping out in second year.

I am also worried that due to lack of work experience if I do drop out I won't be able to find a job.

I am also worried that if I graduate I will be overqualiified for part time/ temp work.

    Does anyone have any advice?

Speak to someone at your university about your options. You might be able to suspend your studies for this year without any financial problems. Or you might be better off completing this year and then suspending.

Talk to your university careers team about getting a work placement for a year. It’ll give you some more insight into what options are available to you and might help re motivate you.
