For A Level Maths&Further I did C1, C2, C3, C4, FP1, FP2, M1, M2, S1, S2, S3, D1 (MEI). The only option I got to choose from those modules was between FP3, M3, S3 and D2 and I opted for S3 because I wanted to study economics last year, but then decided economics wasn’t for me so cancelled my UCAS.

I got A*AA at A level. Probably applying for maths at UCL, Bath, Bristol, surrey, and maths & stats at warwick. Would you say it would have been necessary (or at least beneficial) to have done FP3 instead? Would the unis look down on my application because I didn’t do it?

For Bath, it didn't matter for me - having done FP1-2, S1-4, D1 and M1. In the course there is a small benefit to doing FP3 (for Edexcel at least...) in that it covered a lot of matrix stuff which comes up in maths.

I think most unis won't care what modules you do, as it will be taught properly when you start the degree.
