Hey guys, just procrastinating right now lol.

So I've never been good at just starting things and I'm just struggling in getting into assignments and just doing the work. Once I get going I'm fine but Its just finding a way to jump in.

I just never know where to start or focus my energy

I was the same while studying my BTEC lol. Have you done the research for your assignments? If you haven't, that's a good place to start. I figured out the reason I was procrastinating was because I thought, if I do the work and I don't pass what's the point? Then I realised I can pass, all I have to do is complete the work, lol.

You could set a timer, say for 10 mins, and start with a question you're comfortable with. Keep working and then when the timer stops, see how far you got in those 10 mins. If you want to carry on because you're on a roll, great. If you need to take a break and go back to it, equally great. If you feel you haven't got anywhere, don't worry, at least you've started by looking at a question and thinking of your answer. Maybe write down a few ideas for your answer in bullet points if you find that helpful then when you go back to it, you can refresh your memory.

I hope this helps. Good luck with your BTEC, I'm sure you'll do great! 🙂
