    Hey everyone,

I was just wondering if you actually need all A's in GCSE to get in to medicine.
I understand that it is a competitive pathway

But what if i have had a lot of experinence and get AAA in a level? Will they still care about my GCSEs (i dont want to post my grades online - dont ask for them please x)

Some unis take them very seriously, some dont. It's preferred if you get all A's or atleast a mix of A and B (mainly/half A) in most unis. But yea, you can defo get into medicine with AAA at a level and slightly below par GCSEs.

Edit: Just make sure you meet their minimum requirements before applying as they usually dont look at your application otherwise.

Why do you want to post your grades?
GCSEs don't matter as much as you think. Some schools prefer those with higher UKCAT scores instead, a better personal statement, or better A level predictions. English and Maths are really important though and I know quite a few medical school's want at least a B.
