I came to University on the basis that I have no actual talents or skills which any employer would want or look for. Uni for me was the only option. Now that I am here I feel like I am completely out of my depth. I go to all my lectures and seminars and honestly I have no idea what the hell i'm supposed to be doing. Nothing seems to be sinking in. I read what I am told to read and it drifts out of my head. I get lectured on detailed events when I have no basic knowledge on the topic itself. It's not just the academic side of things it's the social aspects. I thought I would come here and make some friends and come out of my little bubble but I haven't made any friends. I am naturally introverted and don't like the clubbing scene so I have no idea what to do. My entire life now results in going to uni going to my accomodation and sleeping and eating. I like most of my flat mates but they have their own groups of friends and always go out clubbing. I just have no idea what I'm doing here. I feel out of my depth academically and even more of social reject than I already was back home. I would never drop out because quitting isn't my thing but I feel like ill be alone for the next few years and thats if I even pass this year . Does anyone else feel like this

    Hey don't stress out
It's okay to be different and if clubbing is not your thing then discover something that is. Instead of "accommodation, sleeping and eating" join societies. I get that you are naturally introverted so am I. But try to have healthy conversation with your flatmates for example, how is their course, what they hate/like about uni and so on. Within accommodation, their "own group of friends" won't be there so try cooking together if you are sharing a kitchen. That way you be more close with your flat mate and in few years they might become your best friends.
