Hiya, I'm applying for uni soon for BA in Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), but I'm nervous I will come out of it and unable to get a Primary Teaching job, and all those with a degree and then a PGDE will.
Do most primary teachers have a degree and then a PGDE or do they go down the direct route that I'm considering?
    Hope that makes sense.

    thanks in advance x

    Hiya:hi:

So it shouldn't really matter what route you go down since both are there for a reason.

The classification of your degree and where you are studying it is perhaps as important if not more so than the actual combination of how you end up with QTS.:yep:

Note what I've written in the forum sticky thread about the difference between study and training A degree with QTS is less problematic when it's primary ed.

    Hope that helps
