I am a Registered Nurse living in the UK now embarking on the next chapter of my career, dual training as Nurse Midwife by completing the Midwifery Shortened Course! (You’d think one degree was stressful enough…well I’m clearly bonkers for coming back for round 2!)

My primary goal for starting this Blog is to help other Adult Registered Nurses get into Midwifery. From my personal experiences with trying to undertake an 18 month conversion course, I found that there was very little guidance and information out there for Registered Nurses for how, or where to start. Who offers the course anymore? Has the 18 month conversion course been discontinued? What is happening with the current funding situation?

It’s an absolute minefield. That is why I wanted to start a blog, to share my experiences and hints and tips I have learnt along the way that have gotten me to where I am now. It’s a long process I won’t lie to you, but determination and persistence will get you there!

Feel free to contact me via my other means of social media. or send me a message through this website if you have any specific questions regarding becoming a student midwife, I will do my best to reply to you as soon as possible.

I hope you enjoy the content of the blog/website and I look forward to talking to you all! I will leave links to my facebook page and website, please like and share to reach as many people as possible!
