Give me your experiences of hoops you've had to jump through to get a job interview.

I'm currently filling out an application for a measly seasonal job and they have this silly questionnaire done by "PredictiveHire" with questions such as, "How often do you visit your relatives?" and "I enjoy spending holidays with family, strongly agree/agree/disagree?" WTF does that have to do with anything? They're just wasting people's time. Bloody RIDICULOUS. :banghead:

What does it have to do with anything. Well as you said it's a seasonal job. Meaning more than likely they're going to want you in Christmas Eve, Potentially Christmas day (depending on where it is), Boxing day...

If you're like "Family is the most important thing, I take three weeks at Christmas to go around the country visiting every member of my immediate family" then they're not going to hire you...it's just a sneaky gauge of your christmas availabiltiy...

lol it's got nowt to do with that. The other questions were like, "Do you take nutritional supplements?" and "How often do you read newspapers?" These questions have nothing to do with whether someone can do the job or not. It's clearly some psychometric BS probably ripped from America and now peddled in the UK by purveyors of old rope.

What hoops did you have to jump through, Jackieox? Share your frustrations.
