History A level help

Hi, I'm doing History AS level atm and i have a few questions to ask.

How should i structure my essays for the best possible mark? (the basic layout, the amount of analysis and explanation etc.)

What do you have to demonstrate in your answers in order to achieve an A at AS and A* at A level?

Has anyone got any tips for achieving highly in A level History ?

Go to your exam board website and look for past papers, examiners reports and mark schemes. they may also have a few exemplar answers, That way you cna see how they scored and what an A grade requires from an examiners point of view.

You can also see structure.

History essays need the right balance of core facts, analysis and opinion. Practie and study will improve your ability to write essays. Its all about answering the question.
