I’m planning on self studying AS Chemistry and sitting it extrernally alongside my ‘A2’ (although they’re now reformed) Biology Psychology and Politics. I got AAA at AS after retaking my AS year and went from a U to a A in Biology because I actually revised compared to the year before where I didn’t ! I got a D in AS chem without revision so I’m planning on doing it again with hard work.

I’m torn between Edexcel, OCR A and AQA - which one is easiest from peoples experience ? Thanks

I'm doing AQA chemistry right now (got an A at AS Level) and it's a very picky exam board to say the least. I've lost marks due to saying "increased" instead of "doubled" in a question and my paper 1 last year was almost entirely maths. I can't say whether it's better than the others or not having only done AQA but I'll try to help as much as I can.

Read up the specification of each board and look at some past papers and mark schemes x

The reformed OCR A spec has now got some good chemistry in it (and got rid of a lot of rubbish) and the exams last year were a doddle.

OMG I'm redoing my AS chemistry by myself too and like you, got a D with no revision.
I'm going to do the same spec I learnt last time though - AQA
