In my business studies class, every fortnight or so. We (in groups) give out a p
Power point presentation on any given thing to do with business. Now this is the problem... The GCSE year is pretty fresh, so our first Power point presentation was around a month ago, I did all the work, I emailed the Power point to myself so I could finish it off at home, I'd say I spent 10 hours in total on the Power point. Everyone else just did at in school, in the business studies lesson meaning that they probably had at max 1 hour and 30 mins doing it, probably less seeing as the average person is heavily distracted with technology around them. So when it came to presenting our's obviously dominated, Videos (which I made) Gifs, etc. Whilst everyone else's was just a black landscape and black, standard text. Our overall score was 7.5/9 the closest in the whole school to our's was 5.2/9. But here's the plot twist! Today we had another power point presentation, I did the exact same thing, 10 hours of work, everyone else did 1.5 hours. But it was clear everyone else DID NOT want us too win. So tactical voting came around and before where most people gave us 8 or 9 out of 9, we got 1's and 2's out of 9. It was evidently clear that this was tactical as I'd say it was better than before, and we got the lowest score in the class, even losing to a kid in the class with severe learning problems (no offense) Who did one slide, with one sentence that was in comic sans! So my question is, when we do this next, Even if I put as much hard work in as last time or even double, triple for that matter. People are going to tactical vote. Meaning we won't be able to win again. So how do I overcome this? Do i just make a WORSE power point than everyone else's? What's your advice?

    - Thanks, Stew

If other kids in the class can vote on who they think is the best then surely the marks can't mean much? Didn't the teacher pick up on the fact that everyone was doing it on purpose?
