# is theoretical yield the same as theoretical mass ? watch

1. if not , how do i calculate theoretical mass in general , and how can that be used to calculate the mass of a compound with 95% theoretical yield . Any hep appreciated, thanks
2. It is the same thing, essentially.

ah ok , thank you very much

The theoretical mass is the maximum mass of product that could be obtained if the reaction was 100% complete.
If the yield is 95% then calculate 95% of the maximum mass to get the 'theoretical' mass
