I'm applying for a scheme that aims at helping people from not-so-rich families get the chance to experience lectures and seminars. One of the eligibility criteria is 'income less than £X per year'. By convention, is this before or after tax? Because my family income is treading the border in terms of gross income to the threshold. It doesn't specify net or gross in the form.
