Yesterday I got a job offer for a christmas temp position at Debenhams for a 10 hour contract. My problem is I only want to do ten hours per week and I've heard stories of people being forced to do overtime which is what's putting me from working there. Reading online I've seen that Tesco's more understanding about working hours, have better working conditions and better pay?

So, I just wanted to get people's opinions on which job to go for?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Apply for the company that you feel that you will enjoy working for.
If you feel that you will enjoy Deb. more than Tesco, apply for them (and vice versa)

Make sure you read the contract carefully RE overtime and 'mandatory overtime' - go with your gut.
