    Hi,
I would preferably apply 4x Econ and 1x econ and maths. My PS is predominantly about econ rather than maths. Should I send it this way rather than rewriting? Grateful for any replies.

Economics does require a lot of maths, so you can - and should - mention maths at some point. But you need to think about why you're doing this. It's obvious you would prefer straight economics, so why do you need to apply for an "economics and maths" option and ruin your chances at all unis? If it's because you think "economics and maths" is less competitive and therefore easier to get an offer, don't - unis (especially LSE) are very good at determining applicants doing this. If it's because you're 100% sure then that's not necessarily a problem - most unis will let you change your application to a different course if you change your mind, and many unis will even let you change once you start the degree.
