I'm undertaking a post-graduate research degree looking into how the price of hospital beds could be cut (my understanding is they can cost from £1000 upwards).

I am primarily interested in the most common, bog-standard hospital bed, as to serve as a less specified and more universal area of research.

What I have struggled to find is any information on is the top hospital bed manufactures, the bed features, the profiling lifting mechanism and the vital needs of the patient.

Any feedback is welcomed and would go a long way towards progressing with my project.

    Thanks, Paddy.

beds provided to the nhs come from private companies
You'll need to find them and approach them for any information if they're willing to give you it.
a watch of the various 999 programmes of tv you'll spot manufacturer names on the trollies etc.
