Do we have any dermatologists in the house?

I have a dark beauty spot just above my lip which I've had for years. I've noticed recently it's getting bigger (I think and hope).

I'm just wondering what causes beauty spots on the face?

Do you know how going to a GP works?

    Glassapple is correct
A beauty spot is a Melanocytic nevus. A type of mole

A very small percentage, around 1%, of these can become cancerous
If a mole of any kind changes you should have it checked by your gp.

Changes to marks on skin are worth getting checked by a GP as it can be an issue. Normally isn't but it's on of those things you need to check.
I would make a regular GP appt just to be safe. Maybe ask about any other little things while you're there to make it less of a waste of time.

I have a tiny one just above my lip, about a millimeter in diameter. I think I was just born to have this perfection.

I look like a French aristocrat.

I'll be your Boney if you'll be my Josephine.

Old enough to know that it's a reference to historical events.

What did you think I was asking for?
