I'm in Year 9, I live in Dubai so I do the iGCSE and I have to pick my options before January. Since the beginning of year eight I was always very sure of what I wanted to do, Drama, Psychology, History, French and Spanish, along with the core subjects. Recently I found out there was no way I could take 5 options and I would have to drop one. I am 100% sure I want to do Drama, Psychology and we have to take a language. Personally I found Spanish quite easy to learn, but my question is do I drop one of the languages and take history? Or not do History and take two languages? All of our exams are edexcel. Any opinions are extremely helpful. Thank you

I personally would recommend you to take history because many universities will prefer you to have taken history and 1 language rather than doing 2 languages. Doing either french or spanish will be fine as long as you get a good grade.

It would be better to take a language and history, as you have a range of subjects which will allow more flexibility for your future choices/courses. If you choose to take history, you can always learn French/Spanish outside of school too.

personally i would take history and spanish. i love history and find it really interesting and i also hate french (but i guess thats just me) so ....
