Almost 3 weeks ago my boyfriend of 1 year broke up with me out of the blue. He says he is too busy at the mo which I understand and said he is thinking and seeing where things are going to go. He said we would meet to talk about things again however I’m not sure how long it’ll be as he goes on holiday next week and has all his uni applications due so it’s a busy time for him. I genuinely do think things may work out but i keep going into a negative frame of mind. Any thoughts on what he may be thinking?
He's probably just doubting whether he can give you enough attention as well as everything else in his life. He might be thinking it's fairer to you if you break up because it means you won't be getting upset at him for being too busy to spend time with you. Don't worry about it too much and don't pester him. Let him figure out what he needs to and don't rush him. Let him go on holiday and take some space away from each other, then hopefully it will all work out for both of you.
