I have been at uni now for almost a month, and I absolutely hate it. My course is okay, slightly boring which was to be expected as the majority of my time in education has been boring. I have made friends here and go out regularly to socialise, and have befriended people on my course, however I just cannot settle in, since arriving I can't sleep, I wake up and my heart is pounding with anxiety, during the day I lay around depressed, and the only time I feel good is when I'm distracted when in the company of others. I've started thinking I should drop out and move back home and go to a local university to get rid of these problems, I feel like I've rushed into moving out and that I'm the type of person who needs to do it gradually. I really don't know what the right decision is to make.

Give it until Christmas so you've really experienced it more. If then you still feel the same, then drop out and reconsider.
